Artists involved
Arve Rød:We invited Arve to work with us because we were interested
in working with someone who is involved in several cultural productions.
His main activity has been as journalist and critic of the Norwegian contemporary
scene, but has also produced shows.
Alex Villar: We have worked with Alex, New York based artist whose
work deals with the relationship between the body and architectural space,
in both interviews and collaborative exhibition projects. This time, we
invited him to write a brief on our participation in the biennale for
the catalogue. The text isbased on a conversation between, Arve Rød,
Villar and the Danger Musuem that is developing during the two month period
of the exhibition. This can be obtained at downloadable

Ketil Nergaard:
Artist who was active in organising large scale projects since the 1990's.
He was also editor of the Norwegian art periodical Biledkunst from 2000
to 2001, and currently co-editor for kunstkritik.no, which is a recently
established online archive for writing about art in Norway. For Peanut
Circuit, he is producing a survay project called KUNST,
KUNSTNERE OG RUSMIDLER - a project that surveys artists use of drugs.

Anne
Berit Nedeland:Sculptor who has been producing works since the
1970s. She has recently completed a public comission, a series of
bronze pieces at a health care centre.
Ann Elise Petessen: Artist who produces multi-media art pieces
and films. Worked as an artist model at the Oslo art academy in the
70s when she met Anne Berit, and in 1985 they produced a short film
together.
The film is shown as part of the Peanut Circuit, together with a short
interview with both of the artists. Extensive interviews with Ann
Elise Pettersen and Anne Berit Nedland will be avalibale as downloadable
diaries in the near future.
Sound piec: The

Jonas Ekeberg: Originally an artis, he has taken an active
role on the Norwegian art scene, initiating a photography magazine
"hyperfoto", involved in founding "Oslo Kunsthall",
editor of "Biledkunst" and currently a curator at the Office
for Contemporary Art (OCA). Appearing in talks and interviews, he
has been both an observer and a critic of the condition of the local
art scene, as well as a participant in its production hierarchy. Latest
curated exhibition: "Art for the people" for the National
Touring Exhibitions is now touring Norway.
Bo Krister Walstrom: Artist and recently head of Bergen kunsthall
in Norway, until leaving in protest against the kunsthall boards'
decision of turning down his planned symposium about the institution.
Institution Aesthetic, Ethics will be held at Kiasma, Finland
instead.
Toril Smit: Director of Vigeland Museum. She has art historian
background and interested in placing contemporary art in Vigeland
museum context.
Arve Bringsaker: Head of the Norwegian Sculpture Association
Norway, and the comissioner of the Norwegian Sculpture Biennale.
Rolf A. Hoff: Contemporary art collector who runs a signage
company called sign ex.
Per Kvist: Chairman of the Fine Art commity of the National Arts
Council Norway, and Dean of the Bergen Art Academy. The Norwegian
Arts Council funds Danger Museums Peanut Circuit. |
