Caucus |
Initiated by the
National Sculpture Factory, Cork Caucus brings a large number of artists,
thinkers, writers, philosophers to Cork over nine months, with grass
roots initiatives culminating in an intensive period in the summer
of 2005. Caucus takes its inspiration from Joseph Beuys’ vision
to establish the Free International University in Ireland in the 1970s,
with the objective being to explore cultural and intellectual life’s

Long March -A Walking Visual Display |
The
Long March's aim is to take both contemporary Chinese and international
art to a sector of the Chinese public that is rarely, perhaps never,

who live in communities along the route of Mao Zedong's historic Long
March. Mao's 'March' symbolized the deliverance of the Communist ideal

Sculpture
Factory |
The National Sculpture
Factory, based in Albert Road, Cork, is one of Ireland’s major
contemporary art organisations. It operates from a large site in Cork’s
Docklands area and provides workshop spaces for the production of
sculpture as well a series of art projects, artist commissions, lectures
and symposia, consultation and facilitation on public art and professional
development activities for artists.
